A Dream to Shoot

Welcome to The Old New House.

An ebony stained door beckons you inside, the vaulted ceiling and beams drawing your eye up before they settle back onto an open plan Dining Room-Kitchen-Bar drenched in a cinematic deep burgundy. Emperador marble surfaces and lacquered cabinets bounce light around the room, playing with the reflections of outdoor greenery, light fixtures, rugs and hardware. Looking out from the bar back into the Living Room, daylight filters through the translucent window shades and onto the handcrafted plaster fireplace and salvaged wood floor. Down a dark, dramatic hall, a gray velvet curtain peeks out from behind an antique Chinese chair, and leads us into a rose-colored bedroom. Beyond the curtain, we discover a private deck, taking us back round into the house, this time into the larger master bedroom, it’s wine-colored walls shimmering with the dappled light from the surrounding bamboo grove. From the Master bedroom, we return down the corridor, peeking through the door into an emerald green bathroom, floor to ceiling tiles and terrazzo floors, bringing the outdoors in.
